We offer the X-treme® Magnetic Die Cutting Cylinder which is the first magnetic die cutting cylinder in the world with total run out accuracy below 80 millionths of an inch (2 microns). Simply put, it is the best cylinder on the market.
Our dedication to quality will be applied to rebuilding your magnetic cylinder, regardless of manufacturer, to peak performance. This new service will refinish the surface of magnetic die cutting and folding carton cylinders to meet exacting customer specifications. Our detailed technical program includes:
As part of the rebuild process, we will completely refinish the surface of the cylinder. Also, there is an inspection of new parts prior to the cylinder being reassembled. All new bearers are installed to manufacturer’s specifications to ensure proper fit and prevent premature failure.
Some rebuild work is limited as cylinders must have enough material on them to permit repairs within the cylinder’s specified tolerance ranges. Upon removal of bearers, some magnets may break and will need to be replaced by epoxy or replacement magnets. This rework will be detailed prior to work commencing on the cylinder. Overall, the appearance of the cylinder may change during the rebuild process. However, the performance will not be affected. There is an initial $175 inspection fee.
