Move-It™ Systems Specifications
“Move-It”™ Conveyors are designed to handle common applications in plastics processing and recycling, light manufacturing, and warehousing. They are available in five standard models, each of which can be ordered in five standard belt widths with either stationary bases or with standard mobile bases and 3-inch diameter locking castors. Customized units are also available to handle special requirements. Belt angle adjustment allows setting conveyor incline over a wide range of angles.
Construction: Strong, lightweight, extruded aluminum frames allow easy portability and adjustments on all five standard models. Floor stands and mobile bases are also made from robust aluminum extrusions. Frame ends and pulleys are aluminum castings. The rugged 2.62” diameter pulleys are supported by 0.75” steel shaft and locking self-aligning bearings. Plastic belt guides support the return side of the belt. Mobile bases are fitted with heavy-duty 3” diameter swivel locking castors.
Adjustable Inclines: Models B & C incline from 25º to 50º. Model D can be adjusted from
15º to 50º.
Drive Packages: Drive options include a constant-speed 1/4 hp AC gearmotor rated at 25 fpm, a variable-speed 1/4 hp DC gearmotor designed for 10-55 fpm, and a robot-controlled unit. Drive packages can be mounted on either side or either end.
Belts: Fabric cross-rigid V-guided PVC beltsare standard. Optional sprocket-driven polypropylene modular belts provide positive drive and tracking and allow quick repair or replacement of worn or damaged belt sections in the field. Cleated belts keep product contained and moving on inclines and during transfers.
Options: Special supports, chutes, hoppers, and custom drives.

Belt Type
F– Fabric Belts are the economical choice for most applications. Standard fabric belts are PVC with a center V-Guide for tracking and a cross-rigid monofilament weave. Standard cleats are 1.5 inches high welded on either 6- or 16-inch centers.
M– Plastic Modular Belts are a performance and maintenance upgrade. Modular Belts are sprocket-driven for positive drive and tracking. They can be easily replaced or repaired by pulling pins and removing the damaged belt section(s).
Frame Type
A– Straight Frame Models: Straight Frame “Move-It”™ Conveyors handle horizontal or incline
conveying to grinders, totes, or to the next workstation. They also serve for under-press applications, box transfer, and scrap removal. An optional built-in chute can be ordered to collect parts or scrap for transport. Standard belts can be used for 10-degree inclines. High friction or grip-top belts work for slopes up to 30 degrees. For higher angles, select cleated belts.
B– Gooseneck Models: Gooseneck Conveyors are designed to receive parts that discharge underneath machinery and convey them to totes or other conveyors. The standard belts are PVC with 1.5-inch cleats and polypropylene belts with 2-inch cleats, both on 16-inch centers. The incline on these conveyors ranges from 25º to 50º. Infeed flaps to contain product are standard.
C– Z-Shape Models:“Move-It” Z-Shape Conveyors combine the capabilities of horizontal and incline conveyors in a single unit. They can collect parts from underneath machinery and convey them up to totes or other conveyors. The standard fabric belt provided for this model is PVC with 1.5-inch high cleats on 16-inch centers. The standard polypropylene belt provided has 2-inch cleats on 16-inch centers. Incline angle is adjustable from 25º to 50º. Infeed flaps to contain product are standard.
D– Noseover Models:“Move-It”™Noseover Conveyors typically receive parts from an overhead robot and lower them to an operator or a tote, but they are also used to elevate parts to totes or grinders. These conveyors should be ordered with high-friction, griptop, or cleated belts depending on the part and the incline. The incline angle is adjustable from 15º to 50º.
E– Elevator Models: Elevator Conveyors receive small parts from production operations and convey them into totes or feeder bowls. These sturdy conveyors offer incline adjustment from 15º to 60º. The standard fabric belt is PVC with 1-inch high cleats on 6-inch centers. Higher cleats are recommended for steep inclines. Infeed hoppers and discharge chutes come as standard equipment.
Belt Width
18– “Move-It”™ Conveyors are available for quick delivery in five standard widths: 12, 18, 24, 30, and 36 inches. Other widths are available on special request from 6 to 36 inches in 2-inch
increments. Frame types B, C, and cleated D come in belt widths up to 18 inches. Belt width W is the distance between side guards. Standard side guards overhang the belt by .75 inch per side to provide a protected belt edge.
Drive Side (Please see diagram below)
Use the diagram below to specify drive shaft location. Drive sides M and R and L and S can easily be switched in the field.
L– Left-Hand Standard
M– Left-Hand Reverse
R– Right-Hand Standard
S– Right-Hand Reverse
Drive Package
Standard drive packages include electric motor, hollow shaft reducer, and 115-Volt control with 10-foot cord and plug.
C– Constant-speed, 25 fpm, 1/4 hp AC gearmotor. Toggle switch includes overload protection.
V– Variable-speed, 10-55 fpm, 1/4 hp DC gearmotor. SCR control has 115-Volt input and includes switch and speed pot.
R– Robot control package includes 1/4 hp AC gearmotor with magnetic contactor control and timing relay. Control receives momentary signal from robot to start conveyor and run at 25 fpm for a preset time of 2 to 20 seconds.
Z– Custom package to meet special power, speed, voltage, or sequence requirements.

Dimensions
Because “Move-It”™Conveyors come with angle adjustments, sizing is specified by indicating the X, Y, and Z dimensions (rounded to the nearest inch) shown in the conveyor diagrams. When ordering, specify the required X dimension or use the formulas given below in the table to estimate the X dimension from your required A and B dimensions.
A = ______ Infeed Height
B = ______ Discharge Height (required unless horizontal)
Y = ______ Lower Extension (required only for Frame Types B & C)
Z = ______ Upper Extension (required only for Frame Types C & D)
a = ______ Incline Angle (in degrees)
Estimate X and C dimensions using the applicable formula and constants K1 and K2 from the tables below.
Incline Angle A
| - | 0 | 5 | 10 | 15 | 20 | 25 | 30 | 35 | 40 | 45 | 50 |
| K1 | —- | 11.47 | 5.76 | 3.86 | 2.92 | 2.37 | 2.00 | 1.74 | 1.56 | 1.41 | 1.31 |
| K2 | 1.00 | 1.00 | .98 | .97 | .94 | .91 | .87 | .82 | .77 | .71 | .64 |
| - | Type A: Straight | Type B: Gooseneck | Type C: Z-Shape | Type D: Noseover |
| X = ______ | X=(B-A) x K1 | X=(B-A) x K1 | X=(B-A) x K1 | X=(A-B) x K1 |
| C = ______ | C=X x K2 | C=X x K2 + Y | C=X x K2 + Y + Z | C=X x K2 + Z |
