Permanent Magnetic Conveyor Components

Bunting® Magnetics Co. offers a wide range of Permanent Magnetic Conveyor Components which includes everything you need to modify an existing belt conveyor into a magnetic conveyor system or to build your own from magnetic conveyor from scratch. These components are designed for easy bolt-in-place installation. Only your imagination limits what you can do to move, stabilize, hold, space out, turn, lift, feed, and sequence parts and assemblies with Bunting® Magnetic Conveyor Components.

Bunting Magnetics Co. has been making rails for the Canning Industry for almost 50 years. Bunting Magnetic Plate Rails are the rails of choice for almost every spectrum of the canning industry. Bunting Magnetic Plate Rails are utilized on almost every kind of conveyor: Flat Belted Conveyors, Mattop Conveyors, Table Topped Conveyors, Cable Conveyors and Sideflex Mattop and Table Topped Conveyors in both horizontal and inclined applications.

The strongest rails in the Industry are the Bunting Magnetics Co. Neo Rare Earth Plate Rails that are used on steep inclined flat belted and mattop conveyors in wet washdown environments. Refer to the following table to get relative strengths of the different models of Ceramic vs. Neo Rare Earth Plate Rails on a fabric belt vs. mattop belting. Please call 1.800.835.2526 for Application and Selection assistance for your application.

Standard Rare Earth Flat Plate Rails come in three strengths for most mattop inclined wet or washdown applications.

Standard Rare Earth Lugged Plate Rails are for most tabletop inclined wet or washdown applications. The live pole lugs transfer the magnetic strength into holding the can tighter.

Standard Ceramic Flat Plate Rails come in three strengths and are more economical rails for flat belt horizontal and lower inclined applications. Please refer to the table for the appropriate Ceramic Rail for Can Conveyor inclined angle applications.

Magnetic Plate Rails ( Plate Rails Sepcifications)

Magnetic Plate Rails.jpg Available in various sizes and are used under stainless steel sliderbeds- under your belt – to attract and control ferrous parts and assemblies on belted conveyors. These plate rails are also very popular for under Mattop conveyor belts to secure and hold parts in inclined applications. These strong magnetic rails are designed in both Ceramic and Neo Rare Earth ready for you to install. Bunting® Magnetics Co. has several sizes and strengths to pick from. Just ask your local Sales Engineer or one of our experienced Inside Sales Associates for assistance to pick the proper size for your application. See the chart for the proper plate rail selection for various can sizes on fabric belted conveyors for the canning industry below. See the separate web page for Aerosol Test Bath Rails.

Magnetic T-Rails (T-Rails Sepcifications)

T rail color_stainless.jpg Available in three different sizes and strengths (as seen here) for a more economical approach to magnetic parts handling on moving conveyor belts. These rails provide an economical solution for those lighter applications that need a magnetic field to secure and stabilize parts both in the horizontal and vertical directions. They can provided in straight and curved sections or be match with and used in conjunction with Bunting® pre-engineered Magnetic Pulleys.

Magnetic Pulleys

Magnetic Pulleys-1.jpg Used at the end of conveyors to turn ferrous parts over or on the top corner of a Magnetic Elevator Conveyor to change flow direction. Magnetic Pulleys are usually used in conjunction with and matched with Bunting Magnetic Plate Rails assembles to insure smooth continuous flow of parts or materials. They can be designed and built in a single lane configuration for a single lane, pulleys-1.jpg dual lane configurations or in a wide magnetic field for mass flow.

Magnetic Corner Pulleys are designed and built in a wide range of sizes from 4” in diameter to 36” in diameter for most applications. Their widths are usually designed for the belt width and with the number of magnetic lanes desired. And they are built for what ever shaft size you need on your conveyor. Please contact our Inside Sales experts to give you assistance to help you design and select the proper Magnet Rails and matching Corner Pulleys for your application.

Magnetic Plate Rails for Table Topped Chain Conveyors

B Tabbed Chain with lugs-1.jpg Available in several sizes and strengths to stabilize and secure parts or cans on table topped conveyors. Whether you are running horizontally or up an incline, Bunting® Magnetics Co. table topped rails are designed with top bars used as table top chain lug guides and as live pole pieces to maximize the holding force of the magnet.

Magnetic Up-Stacking Pulleys

Upstacker_4C.jpg Engineered and Designed originally for lids in the Canning Industry but over the years have been made and used on many other round or circular parts. Up-Stacking pulleys are used to take a horizontal flow of lids or circular plates which are driven into the pulley – turn them up on their edge – and magnetically drive them into a sleeve to feed a machine in a filling station. They can also be used to flip up other parts from horizontal to vertical to change direction of flow or to go around corners. The inside surface is contoured to stackingpulleynew-1.jpg stackingpulleynew2.jpg the shape of the lid or part being conveyed.

Bunting® Magnetics Co. most popular models have screw in adjustable side poles which can be fine turn or to handle several similar sized lids. With coarse threads on the inter magnetic core – the side poles can be easily screwed in or out to fine turn the fit or to quickly change to different sized part. The overall diameter of the flanges is determined by the diameter of the parts being handled but range from 10” to 18” in diameter. The tapered side flanges can be made as either a magnetic mild steel poles or stainless steel non-magnetic guide flanges.

Magnetic Drive Rollers and Drive Roller Assemblies

Drive Rollers.jpg Engineered for trouble-free, efficient handling of sheet stock ranging from .010” tin plate to over ¼” thick sheet stock. The mild steel poles and the recessed center provide a highly scratch and nick resistant drive surface for moving, driving and controlling ferrous sheet stock. The recessed areas between the poles are designed to collect small chips and fines to help keep contact surfaces scrap free. Standard sizes are stocked while custom sizes and magnetic strengths can be designed and engineered for application in both Ceramic and Neo Rare Earth for maximum driving force. Multiple units can also be custom engineered on drive shafts to drop into your conveyor frames.

Please refer to Bunting® Magnetics Co. other web pages for our complete lines of Aerosol Test Bath Rails, Standard Framed Conveyors, Magnetic Can Conveyors, Magnetic Sheet Fanners and our complete line of Magnetic Separation Pulleys.
