Low Profile Stamping and Parts Conveyors
Low Profile Stamping and Parts Conveyors
Bunting® Magnetics Co. has two models of Low-Profile Conveyors that are specifically designed to withstand the punishing duty of punch presses and bolster plate applications. These are two of the toughest – most rugged stamping conveyors in the industry! They are designed with heavy duty belts, bearings and drives but with the low profile required for Bolster plate applications. But wherever they are used, these durable, compact units can increase material handling efficiency as they cut labor costs and downtime. There are literally thousands of these conveyors in the field working in tough dirty oily punching applications in the Metal Stamping Industry to clean room part transfer applications in the Plastic Industry.
Standard Low-Profile Conveyors – SLPC’s
Bunting® Standard-Duty Low-Profile Conveyors, SLPCs require only 1 3/4 inch thick but are one of the toughest – most
reliable conveyors on the market. Built to withstand the punishment of punch press, part transfer and automated applications, these highly popular, compact units can significantly increase material handling efficiency at your facility. Magnetic models hold and stabilize ferrous parts and scrap as they drop or feed onto the moving belt. The magnetic platen grabs the steel parts/scrap and keeps them from bouncing. Magnetic control keeps parts in position and eliminates the potential problems of jamming and downtime caused when parts wedge themselves between the belt and guides or wipers.
Non-magnetic models are also a popular choice for moving and transferring non-ferrous or plastic parts wherever low clearance is a factor. These rugged low profile low maintenance units are an economical solution to material handling in the Plastic Industry for bringing out parts from injection molding machines. Cleated belts and sideguards can be used to keep parts moving smoothly on horizontal and incline applications for these tough, rugged conveyors.
Both magnetic and nonmagnetic models can be individually or gang driven as seen in the pictures below. A whole array of drive configurations is available to meet your needs to convey or index parts from variable speed – constant speed – indexing applications.
These conveyors can be provided in inverted applications to transfer parts between conveyors for ferrous steel parts. The overhead magnetic element snaps the parts up – transfers them across the gap and magnetically releases them to the lower conveyor.
SLPC’s can also be provided for washdown applications as seen here where all stainless steel or plate components are required in a low profile transfer applications. Then add in the positive transfer of a magnetic element and you have superb can control through the transfer.

Heavy-Duty Low-Profile Conveyors – HLPC’s
Handling parts and scrap in high-speed, heavy-load, nasty, dirty, oily applications requires a larger knurled drive pulley and larger heavier duty drive bearings along with the tough belt and frame of Bunting® low profile conveyors. Running belt speeds of 300 fpm in oily applications is no problem for these conveyors.
When you need a conveyor designed to handle the toughest under-press jobs day after day with minimum maintenance, here is the right choice. Our Heavy-Duty Low-Profile Conveyors, HLPCs are designed for use in high-capacity, high-speed applications. They require 1 11/16’‘ clearance and provide continuous, low-maintenance operation. These compact conveyors can take the punishment and the loading of heavy parts ejected at high velocities and still maintain peak performance. They also offer you versatile and simple mounting arrangements for fast and easy setups. And with the 3 ½” diameter knurled drive pulley, they are the ‘conveyor of choice” for heavier loaded applications.
Bunting® HLPCs can be individually mounted or gang driven as seen in the pictures below. Our Universal Support Locator System allows you to mount HLPCs anywhere you need them along the length of the support system brackets. The HLPC is just a tremendous low profile conveyor for the tough, nasty, oily or high speed press and die applications. Call one of our Inside Sales Technicians to discuss your application at
