Bunting® Magnetics Co. offers multiple styles of Drag-Slide Conveyors & Conveyor Systems for Plastic, Paper, Rubber, Wood, Carpet and Electronic Recycling. Originally designed for the thin mil plastic film industry to solve the problem were static electricity causes ground plastic film to stick to belted conveyors and not release or release on the bottom return side of the belt causing a housing mess below the belted conveyor. The Drag-Slide Conveyors are totally enclosed and use UHMW drag flights in a chain conveyor design to move and convey material within a sealed conveyor. This makes for a much cleaner facility allowing you to use your employees for production vs. clean-up maintenance. Bunting® Magnetics Co. Drag-Slide Conveyors work on the concept of a dual chain drag conveyor. The side chains ride on recycled UHMW guides for wear resistance. The large heavy duty chain is strong and durable and when used with our large toothed drive 
100_4815-1.jpg:original) sprockets continually clean out any material that may land on the chain it’s self. The chain take-up is very accessible at the infeed of the conveyor and easily adjusted without any disassembly. The drag flights are also made from recycled UHMW which make them durable and very wear resistant. The conveyor frame is a strong fabricated steel frame that is totally enclosed to keep all the conveyed material within the frame keeping the floor area very clean. A top lexan viewing window is include to watch the ground material being conveyed within the conveyor.
Drag-Slide Conveyors can run between about 500 and 20,000# of product per hour – thier width is design for the required capacity. They work extremely well on light fluffy materials like plastic film or fibers like shredded carpet or cotton fiber materials. These lighter material are mechanically pulled along and are more positively conveyed than on an inclined belted conveyor. They also work very well on chips of plastic, wood or shredded rubber tires or even finer more granular materials.

Horizontal Drag-Slide Conveyors
The horizontal Drag-Slide Conveyors as seen here and in the application photos above work well for conveying material from one point to another in a long horizontal run – whether 5’ long or 100’ long. They can be run on top of the floor or in a pit. They can be installed on a mobile base or suspended from the ceiling above machining operations. They can be provided with infeed hoppers as long as the material is free flowing. But they are great transfer conveyors in a system layout to move material and keep your floor and shop area clean and neat.
Hockey Stick Style Drag-Slide Conveyors
The “hockey-stick” style inclined Drag-Slide Conveyor is an excellent Grinder or Shredder discharge conveyor. These conveyors are designed and built to match up to and fit up to the Shredder discharge opening. As you can see in the optional feature pictures below, the infeed hoppers are designed to mate to the discharge opening to keep the work area clean, neat and out of the way when you need to open up the rotor door for repairs or change screens. These inclined conveyors can then elevate up to what ever elevation is desired or transfer to another conveyor for across your plant. They can also be provided on a mobile base to make them mobile to clear out of the area if need be for general Shredder maintenance.
