Bunting® Flexible Dies….its like cutting with diamonds
Bunting® Magnetics Co. has launched two new coatings to be used with our Flexible Die products. These options, Diamond and Black Diamond, increase the hardness of our flexible dies to a level not measured by the world-renown Rockwell Scale for Hardness. Also, the new coatings now give our customers three choices to chose from because our standard process is to 100% chemically nickel harden our dies.
These new coatings increase the hardness of our dies to over 2,000 on the Vickers Hardness Scale (over 80 on Rockwell C Scale). This allows our dies to run four times longer than ordinary dies.
Diamond

- Low friction allows flexible die to be used with aggressive adhesives without gumming up the dies.
- Coefficient of Friction 0.1
- Microhardness 2000-3000
