NEWTON, KS – Russ Woods has joined Bunting® Magnetics Co., which is headquartered in Newton, Kansas, as a Territory Manager for our Printing Products group and Flexible Die Division.

“Russ gives us a tremendous amount of experience with his background,” stated Mike Wilks, General Manager for the Flexible Die Division for Bunting®. “We started our Flexible Die operation last year and we needed someone with the right skill level and industry knowledge to enhance our sales capabilities quickly. Russ knows the tag & label industry well, understands the intricate nature of flexible dies and has hands on experience with magnetic cylinders, for which Bunting® is well known.”

Mr. Woods brings over 25 years of expertise in the printing industry. This includes technical support, operational management and outside sales positions. He served in technical sales roles with Webtron Corporation, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and The Rotometrics Group, based in St. Louis, Missouri. Within the label industry, Russ held management positions with Standard Packaging & Printing Corporation, based in Mt. Gilead, North Carolina, and Monarch Color Corporation in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior to joining Bunting®, Russ was in outside sales for Gerhardt USA based in Dallastown, Pennsylvania.

As Territory Manager for Bunting®, Mr. Woods will be responsible for the sales of our industry-leading magnetic printing cylinders. This includes our X-treme™ Series Die-Cutting Cylinders product line. These cylinders are precision machined to the closest tolerances in the industry to achieve the high quality made possible by today’s close-tolerance dies. Also, Russ will handle the sales of our new flexible die product line. The Flexible Die Division was launched in September, 2008 and is solely focused on the production of 100% Chemically Hardened Flexible Dies. The area that Russ will cover includes all the states west of the Mississippi River.

Our new Flexible Die facility and equipment allows Bunting® to produce all types of flexible dies from simple designs to intricate die patterns. Also, Bunting® can produce stamp dies that are machine sharpened and chemically hardened. All of the state-of-the-art equipment has been designed to manufacture dies in widths up to 30 inches.

Since 1959, Bunting has been successfully serving manufacturers of plastic components, metal products, printing labels, food products, automobiles and electronic equipment. Bunting’s main manufacturing facility is in Newton, Kansas. The company manufactures magnetic separation equipment, and magnetic and non-magnetic conveyors for use in food, plastics, chemical, manufacturing, and recycling industries. The Newton facility also manufactures magnetic die cutting and printing cylinders for use in flexographic printing presses.
