Barry, a graduate of Kansas State University, leads the Technical Services group which is responsible the design and engineering of most of our products. Barry started at Bunting® in 1994 and has held a variety of engineering, technical services and inside sales roles with the company. For fun, he actually enjoys doing yard work. When he isn’t mowing the lawn, Barry likes to visit the many different lakes in Kansas to camp, boat, fish, water ski and wakeboarding. Barry and his wife Tammy reside in Newton and have one daughter.

Rick Bigham

Rick brings over 27 years of experience in the automotive, industrial gas, magnetic products and petroleum industries to the Bunting® team. Previously, Rick has also served as our International Sales Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from West Texas State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Wichita State University. He enjoys fishing and is a huge baseball fan, particularly the Los Angeles Dodgers. He and his wife Nancy like to spend time with their four children and seven grandkids.

Joseph is well suited for international sales as he speaks five languages which include Spanish, Portuguese, French and German. A graduate of St. John’s College, Joseph has brought years of experience in business analysis, product management and sales to his current role. A newlywed, Joseph and his wife Angel are expecting their first child this Summer. When he is not traveling the world, he enjoys competitive sailing, horseback riding, skiing, tennis, literature and soccer.

Vanessa, who has over 15 years of administrative and human resources experience, joined Bunting® in 2008 and has helped expand and develop our employee relations capabilities. A two-time graduate of Wichita State University, Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a BBA in Management and Human Resources. Away from work, Vanessa and her fiancé Lewis are busy planning their upcoming wedding in November. She enjoys gardening, pottery and baking while Lewis handles the cooking.

Charles W. Whitt

Charles’ background includes time in the sports industry as well as with corporations such as Caterpillar and General Electric. That included a stint as a play-by-play announcer for two different minor baseball teams. He is responsible for all the marketing, advertising, trade show management and communications for the company. Charles holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the University of Rochester. He enjoys golfing, biking, hiking and spending time with his wife Jennifer and their two young daughters.

Fred joined Bunting® in June 2008 and is responsible for engineering, manufacturing, sales, purchasing, and systems. He has nearly 40 years of multi-functional business experience in manufacturing organizations. This includes 25 years at four General Electric businesses. Fred holds an Industrial Engineering degree from Polytechnic University. He is now acclimating to his new Kansas lifestyle, living in North Newton with his wife Thanh. His son attends the University of Kansas. Fred’s interests include automobiles and reading.

Molly has been minding the debits and credits of the company since 1995 when she joined Bunting® as Accounting Supervisor. She is a graduate of Drury College in Springfield, MO with a double major in Business Administration and Accounting. Molly’s husband, David, has been a member of the company’s Engineering Team since 1985. They have one daughter who is currently attending the University of Kansas. Molly likes to garden, walk the family dog and sing in the church choir.

Mike is a man of many talents with a vast background in marketing, sales and product development. He joined Bunting® in 2001 as the Marketing Manager and has helped lead our sales efforts as well as our Printing Products group. Since 2007, he has served in his current role where he supervised the construction and startup of our new Flexible Die operation. This was a total “greenfield” startup from the ground up, which was completed in 9 months. Mike holds two degrees from Wichita State University with a BBA in Marketing and Accounting and an MBA. He enjoyed running and bike riding in his spare time.

Robert J. Bunting, Sr.

Bob was born in Detroit, Michigan on Valentine's Day in 1949. He moved with his parents to Itasca, Illinois in September 1960 following the start of Bunting® Magnetics Co. on August 3, 1959. In July 1979, he and his wife Barbara moved to Newton, Kansas following the corporate relocation. Bob and Barbara have two adult children, Robert, who is a Bunting® Territory Manager for the states of Wisconsin and Illinois, and Molly Claassen, who is a second grade school teacher in Topeka, Kansas. Molly is married to Cody who just completed his second year of law school at Washburn University in Topeka. Bob, a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, began his career as a Retail Store Manager at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. In 1973, he joined Bunting® as a Sales Engineer. After five years in that role, Bob was promoted to General Sales Manager and later served as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. In September of 1993, he was promoted to President of Bunting® Magnetics Co. Then, in August of 2005, Bob acquired 100% ownership in the company. Presently, he is President and Chief Executive Officer of both Bunting® and Magnet Applications Group Limited. In his free time, Bob likes walking, jogging and reading.

Whatever the application, Don is bound to have a material handling solution for you. A 27-year veteran at Bunting®, he has a deep knowledge of all our products and knows how they can help solve any situation. Don is a two-time graduate of Kansas State University with a Masters of Science degree in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science. Also, Don holds three patents including one for the Bunting® Switchable Sheet Fanner. Don enjoys gardening in his back yard, camping and traveling with family.

Don brings a wealth of experience in the magnetic material industry to his current role. After 18 years with Arnold Magnetic Technologies, he joined Bunting® in 2006 to lead the day-to-day operation of our Magnet Material operation. This group handles off-the-shelf ordering of 100’s of different types of products with 24 hour shipping available. Don holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Millikin University and an MBA from the University of Nebraska. Don enjoys golf, racquetball and managing his investments as hobbies. He and his wife Paula have three children and one grandchild.

Just the numbers, please. Doug, a certified public accountant, brings over 20 years' experience in manufacturing operations, finance, and accounting to Bunting®. A veteran of the aerospace, ethanol and manufacturing industries, Doug is an expert at handling the intricate financial needs of a manufacturing company. His background includes serving as an auditor for both small and multinational Fortune 500 companies as well as work on several mergers and acquisitions. Doug enjoys spending time with his wife Janet and their three kids as well as hiking, golf and strategy games

If you want to know how to build it, talk to Rick. Since 1989, Rick has been intimately involved in the day-to-day manufacturing operations for Bunting®. Any product that is ordered from and produced by us has to go through Rick’s team to get made. Away from work, he enjoys water skiing and snow skiing. Rick and his wife DeeAnn live in the country and they enjoy the serenity of that type of life. Rick loves repairing old farm equipment and bailing hay.
